Geography
Geographical Location
Lengdorf located in the Munich region in the valley of the Isen about 9 kilometers west of Villages, 24 km north of Ebersberg, 14 km southeast of Erding and 28 km from Munich Airport. In the city of Munich is 45 km, where the future long-planned, but highly controversial route of the A94 is designed to provide better connectivity.
In addition, the municipality in the district of Thann Lengdorf has a railway station on the Munich- Mühldorf which is serviced about every two hours. History
Is mentioned in a document Lengdorf the first time in 1090 and was over 500 years part of the nearby castle Hofmark head, from 1682/1685 possession of the bishopric of Freising; Today head castle is a district of Lengdorf. Lengdorf belonged to Rentamt Landshut and Erding district court of the Electorate of Bavaria. In the course of administrative reform in Bavaria, was born with the congregation of 1818, the current community.

On 1 May 1978, the greater part of the dissolved municipality Matzbach was incorporated.
