Geography
Walpertskirchen is located about 8 km southeast of the county town of Erding, 15 km west of Villages, 24 km north of Ebersberg, 40 km northeast of the city of Munich and 20 km from Munich Airport in the Munich region. The municipality has a station on the railway line Munich - Mühldorf, which is operated at least every hour.
There is only the district Walpertskirchen.

History
The oldest written mention of the village dates from the year 749, as a Amilo transferred his property to the church at Freising. Walpertskirchen belonged to Rentamt Landshut and Erding district court of the Electorate of Bavaria. Created in 1818, today's community. When railway accident of Walpertskirchen in 1951, 16 people died.
Population Development
On the territory of the municipality were 1970 958, 1987, 1323 and 2000 counted 1,810 residents a year. On 3 October 2007 Walpertskirchen had finally reached 2000 inhabitants.

The municipal tax revenue in 1999 amounted to the equivalent of 818 T € of which were converted 86 T € ( net) trade tax revenue.
