Geography

Moosinning lies in the Munich region in the Erdinger Moos about 7 km southwest of the county town of Erding, 12 km from Munich Airport, 22 km from Freising as well as 31 km from the state capital of Munich. The airport east expressway leads directly east past moss inning and offers in addition to the relief of the town through traffic and an optimal connection to the federal highways 92 and 94

There is only the district moss inning.

Nature Reserves

  • Interglacial deposits at Oak Ried ( Geotop number 177A001 ).
  • The nature reserve Zengermoos ( NSG 00491.01, birch forest ecosystem, 252.6 ha ) is located in the northwest of the municipal area, just north of Zengermoos.
  • The nature reserve Gfällach ( NSG 00379.01, fen, 6.7 ha ) is located in the very south of the municipal area, south of Oak Ried.

Community structure

Moss inning is divided into 11 parts of communes: The parish villages Eichenried and moss inning; the villages Eching, Kempfing and Zengermoos; the hamlet Riexing, Beak Moss, Stammham and the wastelands Castle Wood, Eder on wood and Sollenberg.

History

Moss inning belonged to Rentamt Landshut and Erding district court of the Electorate of Bavaria. The kingdom of the monastery of St. Emmeram had here since the year 1031 a corporal noble residence, which was not lifted until 1810.

Population Development

Economy, agriculture and forestry
