Leonid Moseyev

Leonid Nikolayevich Mossejew (Russian Леонид Николаевич Мосеев, English transcription Leonid Moseyev, . Born October 21, 1952 at Rajon Kasli, Chelyabinsk Oblast ) is a retired Russian long-distance runner, who competed for the Soviet Union in 1978 and became European Champion in the marathon.

At the Olympic Games in Montreal in 1976, he represented the Soviet Union for the first time at a major event. After 2:13:33,4 hours, he finished in seventh place with two and a half minutes behind the Belgian Karel Lismont ranked third in 1977 won Mossejew in the 10,000 -meter run his first Soviet title. In the Universiade in Sofia he won the 10,000 meters and was ranked 3 over 5000 meters. At the Athletics European Cup he was in 1977 more than 10,000 meters of third parties.
