Luca Cunti

Luca Cunti ( born July 4, 1989 in Zurich ) is a Swiss ice hockey player standing since 2011 with the ZSC Lions of the Swiss National League A under contract. Luca Cunti is a nephew of the former EHC Arosa and SC Bern player Pietro Cunti.

Career

Luca Cunti was early as a big talented ice hockey player. NHL Entry Draft 2007, he was selected in the third round by the Tampa Bay Lightning. However, his future career was initially passed through and he gained a reputation as an eternal and difficult to leading talent. The first division club EHC and EHC Dübendorf Weinfelden were his first station, and later the NLB clubs HC Thurgau and GCK Lions. In the National League A, he remained just average at the SCL Tigers. Managed only in the 2011/12 season Cunti under the leadership of Bob Hartley at the ZSC Lions breakthrough, reaching with this as newcomer of the year the Swiss Championship. Since the 2012/13 season Cunti is one of the leading players of the Lions.

Internationally

Also international debut was Cuntis not smoothly. In the spring of 2012, he had to break the World Cup preparations with a knee injury and in November 2012 prevented a shoulder injury a bet on Germany Cup. The first game to Switzerland, he completed on December 14, 2012 at the Arosa Challenge in his Citizen of Arosa. The next day, he scored in the same tournament, the first scorer points in an international match.

At the World Championships in 2013 in Stockholm and Helsinki, he was again part of the national team and won the silver medal with this.
