Marinella

Marinella (Greek Μαρινέλλα, born May 20, 1938 in Thessaloniki; actually Kyriaki Papadopoulou (Greek Κυριακή Παπαδοπούλου ) ) is one of the most famous Greek singers.

Her debut Nitsa Elenitsa appeared in 1957. During the same year, she met the famous singer Stelios Kazantzidis Rembetiko, with whom she worked, and she later married.

1974 represented Marinella Greece, the Euro Vision Song Contest in Brighton. In the first part of their home country in this competition they reached the title Ligo krasi, ligo kai thalassa to agori mou ( A little wine, a little sea and my boy / friend) to eleventh place.

Then Marinella has appeared in various musical productions as a singer and actress. Today Marinella is one of the most important singers in Greece.
