Marko Stanković ( born February 17, 1986 in Krems) is an Austrian footballer of Serbian origin to the position of a striker. In addition, it can also be used as an attacking midfielder. Since the season 2010/11 is active in the Austrian Bundesliga FK Austria Wien.

He is the son of former professional football players and current - trainers Dejan Stanković.

Career

Training

After Stanković 1992-1996 the elementary school in St. Peter- free stone, and from 1996 to 2000 attended the Bundesrealgymnasium in Leoben, he continued his education at the Commercial Academy in iron ore. After five years at the HAK he passed in 2005, the high school and enrolled in the area then law at the Karl- Franzens- University of Graz.

Playing career

Stanković began his career in 1991 at the age of five years at DSV Leoben and came from the season 2003/ 04 for his first stakes in the second class first division. In the same season he also made a short detour to ASK Voitsberg, but came up short on it again to the Donawitzern back. In his graduation in 2005, he moved again for half a year to Voitsberg, where he came in some games used again. In 2007, Stanković was awarded the title of "Young Star of the Year " in the First League. In the same year he signed a two-year contract with the Bundesliga side SK Sturm Graz. His debut in the Bundesliga Stanko celebrated on 11 July 2007 against FK Austria Wien, as he came on in the 83rd minute for Amadou Rabihou. Earlier still used in DSV Leoben as an attacking midfielder, he came at the Blackies only as a striker for use. One of his career highlights was probably the game against LASK Linz on 20 July 2007, as Stanko, who had never met in the Bundesliga, just scored three goals.

On 9 September 2007, he was honored by the Association of footballers in Austria with the " Bruno " for the Newcomer of the Year.

On January 15, 2009, Stanković announced that he will not extend his, which expires in the summer of 2009 contract with Sturm Graz.
