Matías Silvestre

Matías Agustín Silvestre ( born September 25, 1984 in Mercedes) is an Argentine football player. He also has Italian citizenship.

Silvestre was, first with the shirt number 23, from July 2002 to the club CA Boca Juniors. He made his debut on 23 March 2003 in the game between Boca and Lanus ( 3-1). As of July 2004, he led the shirt number 22 and from July 2007 the number 2

On the evening of January 28, 2008, he moved to Catania on loan with a commitment clause of the Sicilian team. In the summer of 2008, the Italians arrested him under contract. After three years he joined in the summer of 2011, local rivals U.S. Palermo.

For the 2012/13 season Silvestre moved on loan to Inter Milan. Although he could not convince at Inter, he was after the season Inter obliged, as the Milanese had a gentlemen's agreement with Palermo. After Inter's coach Walter Mazzarri but no more planned with the Argentines, Silvestre joined the 2013/14 season on loan to AC Milan, who received an option for a permanent commitment.
