Mercedes -Benz SLK 250 BlueEFFICIENCY
The Mercedes -Benz R 172 is a roadster of the automobile manufacturer Mercedes -Benz. The Cabriolet is the third generation of the SLK series and is the successor to the Mercedes -Benz R 171 R 172 built at the Mercedes- Benz plant in Bremen. The vehicle was unveiled at the Qatar Motor Show in Abu Dhabi. The dealer first for Europe was held on 26 March 2011. The basic price is 38 675 EUR. Adjusted for the now existing standard air conditioning, the third generation is around 900 euros cheaper than the previous model.

Design
Exterior
The exterior design is based on the super sports car SLS AMG. The Roadster typical long bonnet has been preserved, instead of the front with reference to the Formula 1 cars, the SLK is now at a barbecue with a center bar that carries the star in the grill, recognizable, and including highlights another central air intake. The upper end of the hood is dominated by two large air outlets. In contrast to its predecessors, the rear-view mirrors with integrated turn signals are as in the CLS on the door edges. The headlights are aligned horizontally and the turn signals are as LED strip at the bottom of this same. Interior

AMG Sports package

The Memory package stores the individual settings for the seats, steering column and exterior mirrors for up to three people and also includes a spine supportive 4- way lumbar support.
Interior light package
The interior light package offers a variety of mounted in the interior and the exterior light units. These include lighted make -up mirror, footwell lighting, illuminated storage compartment in the center console and illuminated exit bar and the outdoor lighting on the underside of the mirrors.
Special Edition 1 model

Innovations
Magic Sky Control
For the first time there will be said of Mercedes -Benz Magic Sky Control of automotive mass production. It is a switchable glass roof, which was previously only known from the Maybach. The difference between normal glass roofs is that the Magic Sky Control keeps the heat and the sun's rays from the interior; you can darken or variable but also brighten. Accordingly, the interior heats less and the air conditioning system is reduced when the roof is dark.
Airguide
As an alternative to normal wind deflector, a new wind deflector system called Airguide was developed for the third -generation SLK roadster. This is strictly a pivoting draft- Schott, consisting of attached to the roll bars clear plastic discs; to prevent air currents, they are pivoted towards the vehicle center.
Specifications
At launch there are three petrol engines with direct injection to choose from. The two 1.8 -liter, turbocharged inline four- cylinder petrol engines in the SLK 200 and SLK 250 make 184 hp and 204 hp. The preliminary top model SLK 350 comes to a power output of 306 hp from 3.5 liters capacity. Except for the entry-level model SLK 200, which comes standard with a 6- speed manual transmission, have the two more powerful models in the market starting on the advanced 7-speed automatic transmission 7G- Tronic Plus, which is available on request for the SLK 200; from December 2011, the SLK 250 is delivered from the factory with the 6- speed manual transmission.
