Milan Mačvan

Milan Mačvan ( Serbian Cyrillic Милан Мачван; born November 16, 1989 in Vukovar ) is a Serbian professional basketball player. At Euro 2009, the men he reached with the Serbian selection the finals and won the silver medal before it, with the fourth place medal just missed a year at the 2010 World Cup. In December 2010, he moved abroad to Israeli giants Maccabi Tel Aviv, with whom he 2010/11 reached the finals of ULEB Euro League. In NBA Draft 2011, he was drafted in the second round as 54 players in total by the Cleveland Cavaliers. In the 2012/13 season Mačvan plays for Turkish club Galatasaray in Istanbul.

Club career

In youth Mačvan played for the teams of FMP Železnik in Belgrade. Even before his 18th birthday, he was inducted into the senior team in the highest Serbian league. When he was allowed to sign a professional contract with reaching his majority, he moved to a transfer to Premier League rivals KK Hemofarm from Vršac, who was trained by the former Under-19 national team coach Miroslav Nikolić, who won the Mačvan in the summer before the U19 World Cup. A short time later Nikolić was calculated by Vlada Vukoičić, Mačvan Ex - Coach at KK FMP replaced.
