Minderlittgen

Minderlittgen (phonetic transcription in Eifel dialect: Mannerleehtchen ) in the Eifel is a municipality in the district of Bernkastel -Wittlich, in Rhineland -Palatinate. It belongs to the municipality of Wittlich -Land.

History

Minderlittgen was first 912 as Lutiaco of King Charles III. mentioned in documents. The basic form of the place name is Lutiacum. Other names of the village are:

Until 1147 the imperial abbey of St. Maximin was lord in Minderlittgen. After that, the place was in possession of the Electorate of Trier. Beginning in 1794, Minderlittgen under French rule in 1815 the place at the Vienna Congress was assigned to the Kingdom of Prussia. Since 1946 he is part of Rhineland- Palatinate then newly founded.

The crest is a split shields left a red cross bar with silver pattern on a silver background, on the right a blue Obereck and two red piles, also on a silver background.

Clubs

The local church Minderlittgen currently has a volunteer fire department, a music club, a men's choir (along with Hupperath ), a sports club ( Spielvereinigung Minderlittgen - Hupperath eV ), a table tennis club, a church choir, a Möhnen club and a church building association.

Regular events

  • Cap session: An aligned with the music and sports club carnival event.
  • Möhnen session: An aligned from Möhnen club carnival event.
  • Carnival parade on Shrove Tuesday
  • Sports Day of the sports club ( in Hupperath )
  • Fair with evening concert at the Musikverein. This takes place on the last weekend of October.
