Mirabello, Emilia–Romagna

Mirabello is an Italian municipality ( comune ) with 3420 inhabitants ( 31 December 2012) in the province of Ferrara, in Emilia -Romagna. The village is located approximately 12.5 km west-southwest of Ferrara.

History

The settlement is located on an old arm of Reno. The church is mentioned for the first time but in the 17th century. Even if in the municipality already passed possessions of Matilda of Canossa. The community was until 1959 the district of the neighboring municipality of Sant'Agostino.

Community partnership

Mirabello maintains since 2004 and 2006, a partnership with the Bavarian village of Weyarn.
