Vigarano Mainarda
Vigarano Mainarda is a town with 7491 inhabitants ( 31 December 2012) in the province of Ferrara in northeast Italy.
Geographical location
The city is located 11 km west of the provincial capital Ferrara.
Among the districts ( fractions) are Vigarano Pieve and Madonna Boschi.
Borders the following municipalities: Bondeno, Ferrara, Mirabello and Poggio Renatico.
History
The foundation of the city dates back to the year 1254. The city was frequently affected by floods in Reno.
