Morteza Gholi Khan Hedayat

Morteza Qoli Khan Hedayat Sani - al Dowleh (* 1856, † February 6, 1911 ) was an Iranian politician, first president of the Iranian Parliament and Prime Minister of Iran.

Life

Morteza Qoli Khan Hedayat Sani - al Dowleh was the son of Ali Qoli Khan Mokhber -ol Dowleh Hedayat. The Hedayat family was one of the most politically influential families of Iran. Morteza Qoli Khan Hedayat Sani - al Dowleh worked under Muzaffar al-Din Shah in the Foreign Service as an Iranian ambassador to Germany, but returned back to the beginning of the Constitutional Revolution in Iran and was elected president of the 1906 first elected Iranian parliament. Sani - al Dowleh in 1908 for a month Prime Minister and assumed the post of finance minister in one of the following cabinets. On February 6, 1911 he was murdered by two Georgians.
