Mosnang
Mosnang ( locally called Moslig ) is a municipality in the canton of St. Gallen in Switzerland. It is located in the constituency Toggenburg outside of main roads.
Geography
Mosnang lies south of Hulftegg over which opened in 1967 a pass goes into Tösstal in the canton of Zurich.
To Mosnang includes the villages Libingen, MUHLRUTI and threes. In the northeast of MUHLRUTI the Murg, one of the largest tributaries of the River Thur springs.
The neighboring municipalities are Kirchberg, Fischingen TG, fish Thal, gold rings SG, Rüeterswil, Wattwil, Krinau, Bütschwil and Lutisburg.
By MUHLRUTI of the 87 -kilometer trail runs from Toggenburg. He leads in five stages of wild house on Arvenbuel and Atzmännig to Wil.
Population
With 2920 inhabitants (2007 ) Mosnang almost reached again, the population of 1860 with 3077 inhabitants.
Attractions
The village Mosnang is mainly known by its steeple. This was originally built as a watchtower and used and later converted into a church tower. Mosnang also has a small ski lift, which is used mainly by locals. At this ski lift Maria Walliser, a former Swiss ski racer learned to stand on the " boards ".
