Mueang Chaiyaphum District
Amphoe Mueang Chaiyaphum ( Thai อำเภอ เมือง ชัยภูมิ ) is a district ( Amphoe ) in the southern province of Chaiyaphum. The Chaiyaphum province is located in the west of the northeast region of Thailand, the Isaan. The capital of the province of Chaiyaphum Chaiyaphum is also called.
Location
The district of Mueang Chaiyaphum is located on the edge of the Khorat Plateau, about 340 kilometers northeast of the capital Bangkok.
Neighboring districts (from north clockwise): Amphoe Kaset the Sombun, Kaeng Khro and Khon Sawan Province Chaiyaphum, Amphoe Kaeng Sanam Nang, Amphoe Ban Lueam the province of Nakhon Ratchasima, and Amphoe Noen Sa -nga, Ban Nong Bua Daeng Khwao and turn in Chaiyaphum.
History
The county had been since the earliest days of Sukhothai's a way station for the Khmer and Laotian troops. Maybe that's why a hospital was located here in the 12th century. - Khok Sung ( Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล โคก สูง ), consisting of Tambon Khok Sung throughout.
There are also 16 Tambon Administration Organizations ( " Tambon Administrative Organizations" - TAO, Thai: องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล ) in the district.
