The Feldmoching station is a railway station in Munich's Feldmoching in the district 24 Feldmoching- Hasenbergl.

Above-ground station

The Feldmoching station is on the railway line between Munich and Regensburg. From these branches in the station from a single-track line distance to Munich Nord ring and thus to the marshalling yard Munich Nord. This leads straight to the south, while the main line runs to the southwest.

On November 3, 1858, the Royal privileged Actiengesellschaft the Bavarian Ostbahnen opened the railway line between Munich and Landshut, which was renewed a year later to Regensburg. The train station at the then independent municipality Feldmoching was only opened in 1867. On November 3, 1891, the track system has been expanded with the doubling of the track section of Feldmoching by other jurisdictions. After the route was relocated south of Moosach on September 28, 1892 and the section from Munich Central Station was twofold passable. On September 28, 1925, the Feldmoching station was electrified with the stretch from Munich to Freising. By 10 May 1927 all the way to Regensburg was navigable by electric locomotives. With the incorporation Feldmochings in Munich in 1938, the station was renamed Feldmoching on October 1, 1938 in Munich Feldmoching station. In 1944, the station of 32 daily commuter trains from Munich to Freising, Landshut and Regensburg was served. Until 1972 the station facilities were rebuilt and prepared for the next S -Bahn - operation, inter alia, the platforms were brought to a height 76 centimeters. On Feldmoching station there are three platform tracks. On track 1 the trains on the S1 line of the Munich S -Bahn and some regional trains in the direction of Munich. On track 3 the trains of S1 to Freising / Airport and the regional trains in the direction of Freising and beyond. The platforms are all 210 meters long and 96 cm high. Regional Express trains and Alex pass through the station without stopping. Track 2 is used as a waiting Zugüberholungen and track for freight trains branch off towards marshalling yard and it must cross the track leading out of town 3. East of the platform tracks are next to another 4 tracks that are used for the parking of freight trains.

Subway station

In west-east direction at the station premises, the terminus of the line U2 of the Munich U -Bahn is. The station has two platform tracks on a central platform and an underlying two-pronged turning system. The station was opened on 26 October 1996. Since late 2009, a direct access to both platforms of the S -Bahn is possible. Previously, you had to reach the S-Bahn towards downtown, exit the subway station at the west end and thus take some meter detour.
