Nederland 1

Nederland 1 is a Dutch public television. Nederland 1 is one of three national public broadcasters of the Nederlandse Omroep Publieke ( NPO ). The TV station is based in Hilversum.

The station was launched on 2 October 1951. Since 4 September 2006, the station has its current profile as a "general " program. Among other items were taken from Nederland 2. The current slogan seed op 1 ( "Together in 1 ' ) reflects this profile.

The transmitter is intended for a wide audience. Be sent information programs, sports programs and light entertainment programs ( series, shows ). Further, current events ( parliamentary sessions, Koningsdag, and others) broadcast on Nederland 1.

Nederland 1 sent from the outset antenna in the VHF range and thus had a high range also in the neighboring countries of Belgium, Germany and the United Kingdom. Since the changeover to digital terrestrial television, however, the range has changed. About one satellite transmits encrypted.

In Germany, Nederland 1 and 2 can be received digitally in North Rhine -Westphalia in the cable television network NetCologne, the net area of NetAachen additionally analogous.
