Neuhäusel is a municipality in the Westerwald district in Rhineland- Palatinate. It belongs to the municipality Montabaur. Neuhäusel is a nationally recognized tourist.

Geographical location
Neuhäusel between Montabaur and Koblenz in the Augst - area communities. Geographically Neuhäusel is part of the sub- Westerwald Nature Park in Nassau. Neighboring municipalities are simmering in the West, Kaden Brook in East and Eitelborn in the southeast.
History
The 1198 first-mentioned Musbach than previous settlement of Neuhäusel was a small village that was located near the present-day local church. He was followed by the 1537 for the last time mentioned Neuspay and 1669 said host beym Creutz. 1675 appears for the first time the name Neuhäusel.
Since medieval times, today the municipality of Neuhäusel belonged to the Electorate of Trier. Due to the Imperial Diet Losing fell in 1803 the right of the Rhine of the Electorate of Trier, thus Neuhäusel, to the Principality of Nassau -Weilburg. From 1806 on, the village belonged to the Duchy of Nassau and was administered by the Office Montabaur. Neuhäusel was from 1815 to the customs station at the Nassau border to Prussia. 1866 the area came to Prussia, Neuhäusel belonged since 1867 to the then newly formed Prussian Westerwald region in the province of Hesse -Nassau. Since 1946 Neuhäusel part of the state of Rhineland -Palatinate.
Due to its location on the major transit route between the Rhine and the Westerwald Neuhäusel developed over the centuries from a rest stop for carters to a community center with character.

The local council in Neuhäusel consists of 16 council members, who were elected at the municipal election held on 7 June 2009 of personalized proportional representation, and the honorary mayor as chairman.

Coat of arms
For the trade, transport and the place on both sides of the street are the two half silver chariot wheels and the silver box in the middle of the emblem in the local coat of arms. Built in 1877 Old St. Anne's Church is shown as a red steeple with West Portal. The Holy Donatus is symbolized by a blue sword with a golden hilt. The green double cross symbolizes the charming location of the place.

- By Neuhäusel leads the German Limes Cycle Route. This follows the Upper Germanic - Rhaetian Limes 818 km from Bad Hönningen am Rhein to Regensburg on the Danube.

In Neuhäusel one of three base fire departments of the municipality Montabaur is set up. The next Neuhäusel Ausrückbereich includes the districts of the towns Eitelborn, Kaden Bach and simmering.

- Mathilde Muthig (1909-1996, known as Mathilde Weber), Nazi doctor at Idsteiner Kalmenhof, spent her final years in Neuhäusel.
