Non Stanford

Non Stanford (born 8 January 1989) is a British professional triathlete and reigning World Triathlon Champion ( 2013).

Career

Non Stanford was a successful cross-country runner until she forced a breach in the summer of 2008 to switch to swimming training, which they came to their Triathlon Club University of Birmingham. Despite the late and unplanned entry into the sport of triathlon, the successes came a surprising. 2009 Stanford was second in the British Triathlon Super Series, and for 2009/10 it received from the University of Birmingham's Paul Weston Triathlon Scholarship to specialize entirely on triathlon.

2010 closed Stanford their studies ( Sport and Exercises Sciences) and won the bronze medal at the Premium European Cup in Brasschaat.

In 2010, Non Stanford also at the prestigious French Club Championship Series Lyonnaise des Eaux part and went to Montpellier agglomeration Tri. In Beauvais (13 June 2010) was 10th ( best of their club ), Paris (18 July 2010) 5 ( second best of their club ) and in La Baule ( Triathlon Audencia 18 September, 2010 ) 22, so that she was just at the Grand Final for the first time not among the three triathletes classants l' équipe. Also in La Baule, it was the foreign elite stars who secured the French club 's success ( 3rd place in team standings ): Barbara Riveros, Liz Blatchford and Lois Rosindale.

In October 2012, she was U23 world champion in New Zealand. Since 2013, it starts in the elite category and gets down in September in London and the world title to the Olympic short distance.

Stanford lives in West Wales and occurs for the club Swansea Harriers on.
