Okegawa, Saitama
Okegawa (Japanese桶 川 市, - shi) is a Japanese city at the center of Saitama Prefecture.
Geography
Okegawa is located north of Saitama and Ageo and south of Kitamoto and Kumagaya.
The Arakawa river flows through the city from north to south. Okegawa is on the Ōmiya Plateau.
History
Okegawa was a post station (宿 场 町Shukuba -machi ) of Nakasendō during the Edo period.
The town received its town charter on November 3, 1970.
