Pai District

Amphoe Pai ( in Thai อำเภอ ปาย ) is a district ( Amphoe - administrative district ) in the northeastern province of Mae Hong Son The Mae Hong Son province is located in the northern region of Thailand.

Geography

Neighbouring districts (from west clockwise): Amphoe Mueang Mae Hong Son, the Pang and Mapha the province of Mae Hong Son, the Shan State of Myanmar and Amphoe Wiang Haeng, Chiang Dao, Mae Taeng, Samoeng and Galyani Vadhana Chiang Mai province.

The main rivers are the Pai Pai and Khong.

Management

Amphoe Pai is divided into seven communities ( tambon), which further into 66 villages ( Muban ) are divided.

The small town ( thesaban tambon) Pai ( Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล ปาย ) consists of parts of the tambon Wiang Tai.

In addition, there are seven " Tambon Administrative Organizations" (TAO, องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล - administrative organizations) in the district.
