Petr Korbel

Petr Korbel ( born June 6, 1971 in Havířov, Czechoslovakia) is a Czech tennis players. He plays the German first division TTC Ruhr city of Herne.

Career

His first major international success came Korbel in 1988 by winning the European Junior Championship. At the Olympic Games in Atlanta in 1996, he was fourth in the Table Tennis European Championships in Bremen in 2000 he won the bronze medal. In the Czech ranking he finished in March 2009 Course 1

Korbel played from 1 July 2006 to 30 June 2008 with Borussia Dusseldorf, where he had been in 1993/94 a one-year contract; previously he played at Müller Würzburg Hofbräuhaus and made ​​the quarter- finals of the German Open. He was with Würzburg Team Champion 2004/05. From 2008 to 2010 he played at the top Belgian club Royal Villette Charleroi, after which he returned to Germany and is now playing TTC Ruhr city of Herne.

Petr Korbel is 1,81 m tall and right-handed, he plays the wooden Butterfly Korbel OFF and the Butterfly Sriver G2 lining. He's since July 1995 Romana Kvapilova, who played in the 1990s in the 2nd Bundesliga, married and has a daughter.

Petr Korbel is coached by his father Karol Korbel, a former Czech first division, since his youth.
