Pino Presti

Pino Presti (actually: Giuseppe Prestipino Giarritta; born August 23, 1943 in Milan ) is an Italian bass player, arranger, composer, orchestra conductor and music producer. Kampfkunstler, 1987, he received his 5th Dan in Shotokan Karate.

Life and work

Pino Presti started early with music, first as bassist, then as an arranger, composer, bandleader, record producer. Under his cooperation in various music genres such as jazz, pop, funk, soul find names like: Mina, Gerry Mulligan, Astor Piazzolla, Quincy Jones, Wilson Pickett, Shirley Bassey, Maynard Ferguson, Aldemaro Romero and Stéphane Grappelli.

Pino Presti, son of Arturo Prestipino Giarritta, who was an accomplished violinist, began his musical education at the age of 6 years, which he has since pursued. His career as a musician, he starts with 17 years as a singer and bass player in nightclubs, as well as an instrumentalist in recording studios. For the recording of Libertango, along with Astor Piazzolla and Summit of Gerry Mulligan and Astor Piazzolla, he appears under his real name Giuseppe Prestipino, as well as in the albums La Onda Onda Nueva Instrumental maxima and of the pianist - composer Aldemaro Romero.

In April, 1975, during his European tour with Mulligan and Piazzolla, he also plays the Olympia (Paris) and at the World Music Festival in Palma de Mallorca. Created in 2011 and he composed exclusively for the Grand Hôtel Héritage Group ' (and all their associated media ) the five -hour original soundtrack, which integrates different styles of music: from classical to jazz, and world music on the way to ambient music.
