Power to the People The Hits is the title of a compilation album of John Lennon.
Genesis
In October 2010, EMI released the 70th birthday of John Lennon, a compilation album, it was after Shaved Fish, The John Lennon Collection, Lennon Legend: The Very Best of John Lennon and Working Class Hero: The Definitive Lennon the fifth "Best of" - compilation album of John Lennon.
The CD contains 14 single A - sides that were published between the years 1969-1981, as well as the album title Gimme Some Truth Imagine. Apart from Nobody Told Me CD contains all Top 20 hits from the charts of the UK and the USA. As a producer, only Yoko Ono is mentioned, which probably applies exclusively to the production of the CD, because the respective producers are given in the accompanying leaflet for music. All titles come from the re -mastered re-releases that have been published in October 2010. At the same time appeared Power to the People The Hits also available with an additional DVD that contains the 15 songs from the CD as music videos. The music videos, except Gimme Some Truth were from the video collection Lennon Legend: The Very Best of John taken Lennon. Furthermore, this special edition was a card with the label online, which includes a registration code for the website John Lennon Universe. The two versions have different covers, while the CD version as a background has a blue sky with clouds, the background of the edition with the additional DVD is only white. The CD is a folder.

In the U.S., the album was ranked number 24 in the UK number 15 in the charts in Germany, it came in at number 33 of the charts. A publication in the LP format was not made.
