The U.S. vs. John Lennon is the title of a published in 2006 soundtrack album, a documentary about John Lennon.

Genesis

In September 2006, the documentary about John Lennon had named The U.S. vs.. John Lennon at the International Film Festival in Venice premiere. The directors of the 96 -minute film were David Leaf and John Scheinfeld. The film deals with the political activities and actions for peace by John Lennon and Yoko Ono; some former political associates are shown in recent interviews. In addition, artist John Lennon growing fears the CIA are " radicalizing " before a listed, which culminated in a threatened expulsion of Lennon from the U.S..

The album includes a recording of John Lennon with The Beatles ( The Ballad of John and Yoko ), otherwise Lennon appears as a solo artist. With three tracks are unreleased recordings: Bed Peace is a 12 -second juxtaposition of the terms and Bed Peace Hair Peace. Attica State is a live recording from the john sinclair freedom rally of 10 December 1971 How Do You Sleep? is an instrumental version of the song from the album Imagine. Here We Go Again was first remastered here by Rob Stevens and three other titles, namely Give Peace a Chance, Happy Xmas (War Is Over) and Instant Karma! ( We All Shine On ), start dialogues of John Lennon and Yoko Ono, taken from the film. In Oh My Love Yoko Ono speaks to the beginning of the song. The CD comes with a twelve page booklet that contains, among other things, an explanation of Yoko Ono.

Publication

The album reached the charts in either the U.S., UK or Germany. A publication in the LP format was not made.

The film was released on 13 February 2007 on DVD. The audio has been remixed in Dolby Digital 5.1 Surround Sound.
