Požega County

The county Požega ( Vármegye Pozsega Hungarian, German rarely Poschegg, Croatian Požeška županija ) was a historic county in the Kingdom of Croatia and Slavonia (Hungarian Horvát - Szlavónország ), an autonomous kingdom under the Hungarian Crown of St. Stephen within the Habsburg Monarchy. It was also the time of Austria - Hungary. It was managed by a Croatian Ban ( viceroy ). The county seat was in Pozsega (Croatian Požega ). The county included an area of ​​4929 km ².
