Province of Potenza
The Potenza ( Italien. Provincia di Potenza) Province is a province in the Basilicata region. The province was known before 1871 Basilicata province, but was only a part of today's region of Basilicata.
The province counts 376 182 inhabitants ( 31 December 2012) who live in 100 communities in total 6549 km ². The city is also Potenza. Like the entire region of Basilicata is considered the province traditionally considered very poor and has experienced between 1850 and 1950 numerous waves of emigration.
