Renārs Kaupers

Renārs Kaupers ( born September 1, 1974 in Jelgava, Latvian SSR, Soviet Union) is the lead singer of the Latvian pop and rock band Brainstorm, with the song My Star 2000 took the third place at the Euro Vision Song Contest 2000 in Stockholm. When Euro Vision Song Contest 2003 in Riga, he was co-hosted alongside Marie N on the stage. Another time he was allowed to take over the show for the 50th anniversary of the competition in the fall of 2005 on the side of Katrina Leskanich moderation. In the same year he was awarded the Order of the White Star of Estonia awarded. In 2007, he took with the Russian director Yevgeny Grishkovets a cover version of the Russian synth pop song " Na sare " ( На заре, dt " At dawn " ) on.

Kaupers studied journalism at the University of Latvia and finished his studies in 1996 with a diploma. His ancestors are presumed Baron Friedrich von Stuart from Courland (1761-1843) and Immanuel Kant's niece Henrietta Kant Kaupers is married to Agnes and father of her twins Edgar and Emīls (* 1995) and her son Aaron (* 2011).
