Rettenbach am Auerberg

Rettenbach am Auersberg ( officially: Rettenbachferner a.Auerberg ) is a municipality in the Swabian district Ostallgaeu and a member of the administrative community Stötten am Auersberg.

For state-approved leisure includes the districts Birkenberg, Frankau and Oberlöchlers and Unterlöchlers and the soft mountain wilderness farms, Höllbauer and Rupprecht. There is only the district Rettenbach a.Auerberg. The Auersberg itself is not part of the municipality of Rettenbachferner but to Bernbeuren and Stötten a.Auerberg. The highest elevation in Rettenbach Kappel is the height ( 967 meters) in soft mountain. At the height Kappel is located next to a chapel, a telecommunications tower.

History

On May 1, 1978 Rettenbachferner was incorporated into Stötten am Auersberg. After tough clashes Rettenbachferner is independent again since 6 October 1993. Since then, there is an administrative community with Stötten.

Economy

The economy of Rettenbachferner one hand dominated by agriculture; On the other hand here also have several medium-sized firms (mechanical engineering) based, such as the forestry machine manufacturers Pfanzelt mechanical engineering or landscape equipment manufacturer ball man. Rettenbachferner has Germany's first self-service gas station for pure vegetable oil.
