Rybnoye, Ryazan Oblast
Rybnoje (Russian Рыбное ) is a town in Ryazan Oblast (Russia) with 18,380 inhabitants (as of October 14, 2010 ).
Geography
The city is located about 20 km northwest of the Oblasthauptstadt Ryazan on the Woscha, a right tributary of the opening into the Volga River Oka.
The satellite city Rjasans is administrative center of the homonymous Rajons.
History
The place was first mentioned in 1597 as a village Rybino documented. The name is derived from the Russian ryba for fish.
After the railway, the village grew rapidly from the late 19th century, received in 1947 the status of an urban-type settlement and 1961, the city law.

In Rybnoje there is a local museum in the nearby village Konstantinovo is a Sergei Yesenin - Memorial Museum - the poet (1895-1925) was born there.
In Rybnoje There is a Scientific Research Institute of Horse Breeding ( NII konewodstwa ) and a Scientific Research Institute of Apiculture ( NII ptschelowodstwa ).
Economy and infrastructure
The town lies on the railway line opened in 1864 Moscow - Ryazan ( kilometer 180). Here is an important marshalling yard with a large depot and workshops, which are the most important enterprises of the city.
