San Tropez (song)

October 30, 1971

San Tropez is a piece of music on the album Meddle music published in 1971 by the British rock band Pink Floyd. It is the fourth title of the album.

Words and Music

San Tropez is a quiet, for Pink Floyd decidedly atypical jazzy piece, which is characterized by the lilting vocals and sweeping piano parts. The text and music were provided by bassist Roger Waters, so that is the title of the only one on Meddle, which was solely written by him. San Tropez is about an experienced day in the city of Saint Tropez.
