Sanel Kuljic (2008)
Sanel Kuljić (born 10 October 1977 in Hallein ) is an Austrian football player.
Career
Sanel Kuljić whose parents come from Bosnia and Herzegovina, spent his childhood in Hallein and Grödig. He began his career at unterklassigen SV Grödig (1985 to 1993), where he became co-operation on youth players of SV Austria Salzburg in 1991. There he made the leap into the professional team and celebrated as a squad player with the Violet in the 1996/97 season winning the Austrian Championship title. Kuljić could be in the team under coach Heribert Weber but not enforced and was delivered to the regional league team PSV black and white Salzburg. Although a possible great career seemed over, Kuljić managed indirectly via the Regional and the second division, where he played in clubs like SV Traun, BSV Bad Bleiberg and LASK Linz, the ascent to premiership football and even the Austrian national team.
Since August 2003 Sanel Kuljić played at the Sports Association Ried and made in the 2004/05 season winning the title in the First League promotion to the Bundesliga and was charged with 34 goals and thus a new league record superior scorer. These were the second- most goals that were scored by a player in a professional league in the world this season.
With the Sports Association Ried he reached the fourth place in the championship, where he with 15 gates Austrian scorer in 36 championship matches together with Roland Linz ( FK Austria Wien ) in the season 2005/ 06. Thus, Sanel Kuljić the first player since Walter Schachner ( seasons 1977/78 or 1978/79 ), the top scorer in the second highest and highest division of Austria could be in two consecutive years. So he came already on 17 August 2005 in a 2-2 draw against Scotland under team boss Hans Krankl to his international debut.
In the season 2006/ 07 Sanel Kujic played for the Swiss first division club FC Sion. In the Axpo Super League, he succeeded to March 2007, with twelve gates. Half of it he scored in the first three championship rounds in which he achieved in each case a " double ". In his time as " Swiss Legionnaire " he also had a strong showing in the national team against Switzerland, where he köpfelte also a goal in the 2-1 victory. On 8 March 2007 the Salzburg announced his contract due to outstanding salaries unilaterally and was since then at club search. Although he now remained for several months without club, he was still employed by Hickersberger in the national team.
In June 2007, the striker was able to sign a contract with Austria Vienna. There, he scored as club top scorer eleven goals in the league and scored five goals in the UEFA Cup. After completion of the season Kuljić decided in the summer of 2008 for a change in the First League for SC Magna Wiener Neustadt, which meant his early departure from the Austrian national team after 20 caps. The SC Magna Wiener Neustadt led Sanel Kuljić as team captain for the league title, the fourth of his career, which he again played in the Bundesliga in the 2009/10 season.
His commitment at Magna was a contract basis, which should be extended automatically for another year at 22 duty stakes per season. This clause, he was obviously doomed, because although he succeeded in 14 matches at least 8 hits, he was told by the club that he would no longer be used. A significant reduction in salary he refused in December 2009, after the contract was canceled by mutual consent in January 2010.
With the termination of the contract Kuljić announced a change to Neuchâtel Xamax in the Swiss Axpo Super League. He signed a contract until June 2011. After one and a half years in Neuchâtel Kuljic joined the Greek first division AE Larisa.
