Saskatoon/St. Paul Regals

The Brandon Regals were a Canadian ice hockey franchise in the Western Hockey League in Brandon, Manitoba.

History

The team was founded for the 1955/56 season as a franchise in the Western Hockey League. In its premiere season the shelf ran in their home games as Regina / Brandon Regals each half in Regina, Saskatchewan and Brandon, Manitoba, on. As the team but in his division finished only fifth place, the season was decided to 1956/57, exclusively in Brandon, Manitoba to spend. This season could be improved to first place in their own division. For the 1957/58 season, it was decided again to leave the team deny its home games in two different cities. In Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Saskatoon shelf as they played, while the home games in Saint Paul, Minnesota under the name St. Paul Saints were denied. The last season in franchise history, the team spent again in Saskatoon. There one chose the name Saskatoon Quakers, the numerous other teams from the city and previously also another WHL franchise had used in the past.
