Sawao Kato

Sawao Katō (Japanese加藤 泽 男, Katō Sawao; born October 11, 1946 in Niigata Prefecture or Suwadaira ) is a former Japanese gymnast.

Katō participated in 1968-1976 in three Olympic Games, where he won a total of 12 medals, including 8 gold. He is one of the most successful gymnast at the Olympic Games and the most successful Olympic athletes of Japan.
