Scott Scissons

Scott Scissons ( born October 29, 1971 in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan ) is a retired Canadian professional ice hockey player who was active during his playing career for the New York Islanders in the National Hockey League.

Career

Scott Scissons played during his junior time for the Saskatoon Flyers and Saskatoon Contacts. In 1988 he went for the Saskatoon Blades of the Western Hockey League took on the ice and in the following year with the Blades at the Memorial Cup part. The team lost the final game against the Swift Current Broncos. The attacker was at the NHL Entry Draft in 1990 in the first round in sixth position - thus before and later top players like Darryl Sydor, Keith Tkachuk, Martin Brodeur and Doug Weight - selected by the New York Islanders, but was never able to meet the expectations and proved as a mistake. After he had played another year at the Saskatoon Blades and was entered there as a regular scorer in appearance, yet he made his debut during the 1990/91 season for the Islanders in the National Hockey League.

The subsequent playtime spent the offensive player in the team Canada and prepared with the team to the 1992 Winter Olympics in Albertville before, but could not manage the final jump in the squad. Then Scissons was the 1992/93 season in the Capital District Islanders, the former farm team of the New York Islanders in the American Hockey League action. The following year, the Canadian spent at the Salt Lake Golden Eagles of the International Hockey League and had stand by a commitment to the New York Islanders in the NHL to book. This was also his third and final use in the NHL, the 1994/95 season completed Scissons at the Denver Grizzlies and Minnesota Moose of the IHL. After he ended his active career.
