Sirkka Polkunen

Sirkka Tellervo Vilander ( born November 6, 1927 in Jyväskylä as Sirkka Polkunen ) is a former Finnish cross country skier who competed in the 1950s.

Your biggest achievement is winning the gold medal with the Finnish 3x5 km relay at the Olympic Winter Games in 1956, together with Siiri Rantanen and Mirja Hietamies. In 1952 she had become over 10 km Fifth. Another Season medal, the silver, was added at the 1954 World Cup.
