Slawomir Ryszard Nowak? / I ( born December 11, 1974 in Gdańsk ) is a Polish politician, Platforma Obywatelska ( Civic Platform ) and 2011-2013 Minister of Transport, Construction and Maritime Economy.

Life

Sławomir Nowak studied politics with a focus on international relations at the University of Gdansk. He also graduated from the Maritime Academy in Gdynia from a management course with a licentiate. During his studies, Nowak became self-employed with an advertising company. 1998 to 2000 he was an advisor in the Political Cabinet of the Minister of Defence Janusz Onyszkiewicz. 1999 to 2002 he was president of the advertising company Signum promotion. He became Vice President of Radio Gdańsk where he was responsible for technology and advertising in 2002. He was a member of the Liberal Democratic Congress and the Unia Wolności before he became a member of the Civic Platform in 2002. In the parliamentary elections in Poland Sławomir Nowak 2001 was unsuccessful, but was able to move in 2004 as substitutes for the European Parliament exchanged Janusz Lewandowski in the Sejm. In the 2005 parliamentary elections with 9061 votes and the early elections in 2007 with 65 993 votes he could defend his position. On 16 November 2007 he was appointed Secretary of the Chancellery of the Prime Minister Donald Tusk. Two years later, in October 2009, he resigned from this office. He then became Deputy Chairman of the Group of the Civic Platform in the Sejm. In May 2010, he was elected chairman of the Civic Platform for Pomerania. Also in 2010, he was appointed head of the campaign team for Bronisław Komorowski at the Präsidentschaftswahl.Anschließend, on 29 September 2010, was Sławomir Nowak Bronisław Komorowski's Secretary of State, responsible for contacts with the Sejm and the government. For this he had to resign his seat in Parliament. On November 29, 2011, he was appointed Minister of Transport, Construction and Maritime Economy in the cabinet of Donald Tusk. In 2013, he threw the prosecution before a gift of valuable clock to have not as specified declared as an asset and therefore called for the lifting of his immunity. Then Sławomir Nowak presented on November 15, 2013 tendered his resignation as a minister.

Sławomir Nowak is married and has two children.
