Sovramonte

Sovramonte is a municipality with 1483 inhabitants ( 31 December 2012) in the province of Belluno in Italy.

The community is located 48 km west of Belluno. The neighboring municipalities are Canal San Bovo (TN), Feltre, Fonzaso, Imer (TN), Lamon, Mezzano (TN) and Pedavena.

Sovramonte belongs to the Union of mountain communities to Feltre ( Comunità montana Feltrina ). Large parts of the municipal area also belong to the National Park Bellunesischer Dolomites. The municipality is constituted by the merger of places Sorriva, Zorzoi, Power, Faller, Aune, salts, Croce d' Aune, Moline, Gorna. The seat of the municipal administration is in power.

Recently, a referendum on the transfer of the municipality of the province of Belluno and the Veneto region of Trentino and thus to the autonomous region of Trentino -Alto Adige was performed. 95 % of the population voted for the crossing.
