Steve Poapst

Steve Ray Poapst ( born January 3, 1969 in Cornwall, Ontario ) is a retired Canadian professional ice hockey player and current coach, who during his playing career, including for the Washington Capitals, Chicago Blackhawks, Pittsburgh Penguins and St. Louis Blues in the National Hockey League played. Since the 2010/11 season he has been an assistant coach with the Rockford IceHogs of the American Hockey League. 2013 Poapst was honored with induction into the ECHL Hall of Fame.

Career

Steve Poapst was initially 1985-1987 active for the Smiths Falls Bears in unterklassigen Canadian Junior Football League Central Junior A Hockey League before he on this commitment to study at the prestigious Colgate University began following and for their hockey team, the Red Raiders, in ECAC Hockey aground.
