Sun Hung Kai Properties is a Chinese company based in Hong Kong. The company is listed on the stock index Hang Seng Index. The company was headed by Walter Kwok and his brothers Thomas Kwok and Raymond Kwok. Because of family disputes had to withdraw Walter Kwok from the company management. His place was taken by his mother since then. The company employs approximately 27,000 employees (as of 2007). The company was founded in 1969 by Kwok Tak Seng. Sun Hung Kai Properties owns, manages and sells real estate in Hong Kong and one of the largest companies in the country. Other business areas include, inter alia, Insurance and telecommunications ( Smartone, partnership with Vodafone).
