Suuret suomalaiset ( " Great Finns ") was the title of an emitted by Oktober to December 2004 telecast of the Finnish Broadcasting Company Yleisradio.
Following the example of 2002, on the BBC recognized with great success the 100 Greatest Britons, the Finnish television audience should decide by vote, which was fin the most important in history. In Germany, the format was entitled " Our Best ". The vote was conducted in two passes. In the first round the places were 11-100 determined in an open vote, the ten individuals with the most votes reached the second round in which then the ranking of the top ten was determined. For "Greatest Finns " Gustaf Mannerheim was ultimately selected.
