Swimming at the 2012 Summer Olympics – Men's 100 metre backstroke
The competition over 100 meters backstroke Men at the 2012 Olympic Games in London was held on 29 and 30 July 2012 at the London Aquatics Centre. 43 athletes took part.
There were six heats. The 16 fastest swimmers of all heats qualified for the two semi-finals, which were held on the same day. Again, the finalists qualified through the eight fastest times of both semi-finals.

Morozov had qualified for the semifinals, but refrained from further participation. Since the semi-finals took place 100 meters freestyle relay just before the final of the 4 x to Morozov concentrated on his final appearance in the season, with whom he won the bronze medal.
