Taisia Chenchik

Taissija Philipovna sealed Tschik (Russian Таисия Филипповна Ченчик, English transcription Taisiya Chenchik, . Born January 30, 1936 in Pryluky, Ukraine, † November 19, 2013 ) was an athlete from the Soviet Union. The high jumper in 1966 European Champion and 1964 Olympic bronze medalist.

She won her first 1957 Soviet championship and successfully defended the title in 1958 and 1959. In 1963, she won her fourth and final title. In 1967 she stood as third parties for the last time on the podium.

At the European Championships 1958 in Stockholm she won silver with 1.70 meters behind the Romanian Iolanda Balas. In 1959, Czech Tschik with their personal best to 1.78 meters. 1960 at the Olympic Games in Rome, she was 1.68 meters Fifth; while Balas was invincible with 1.85 meters, lay three jumpers, each 1.71 meters just ahead of Czech Tschik.
