Tarjei Skarlund

Tarjei Viken Skarlund ( born November 6, 1978 in Ålesund ) is a Norwegian beach volleyball player.

Career

Skarlund increased in 1999, with Ronny Berntsen at the World Cup in Marseille in part, but did not on the last square. Having played a few tournaments with multiple partners, he formed a new duo in 2002 with Jarle Huseby, which managed some fifth places in satellite tournaments. In 2004 he was with Kjell Arne Goranson at the Open tournaments in Stavanger and Stare Jabłonki each ninth.

With his new partner JORRE André Kjemperud he was defeated in the third round of the World Championship in 2005 the German duo Dieckmann / Recker man and was eliminated by the Americans Gibb / Metzger. At the European Championships in 2006 Skarlund / Kjemperud subject to the Germans Brink / Dieckmann and the Spaniards Herrera / Mesa. The next year they remained winless in the preliminary round of the World Cup in Gstaad. 2008, they were able to record some top ten finishes and participated in the Olympic Games in Beijing, where they despite three match points missed a victory against Klemperer / Koreng.

The Dubai Open Skarlund first appeared with his current partner Martin Spinnangr. Before the home crowd in Stavanger, the new duo reached as third in the group, the first main round of the World Cup 2009, in which there was a loss to the Swiss Heuscher / Heyer. At the same location, the two Norwegians came the next year in the final of the Grand Slams. At the World Championships 2011 in Rome, however, they could not place a victory.
