Tattoo You [ tə'tu: ju: ] This is the 16th album by the Rolling Stones and was released in August 1981 by EMI.

The album debuted immediately after publication in the U.S. Billboard charts at # 1 and took this place for nine weeks in the UK album reached the 2nd place

Tattoo You is the up to this time best-selling album of the Rolling Stones.

The songs were created during of past recording sessions in the studios Compass Point Studios (Nassau ), Pathé Marconi (Paris), Electric Lady (New York), RSM (Rotterdam), Musicland (Munich), Dynamic Sound ( Kingston), Atlantic (New York), Village recorder (Los Angeles ).
