Daily at 19 clock, the Austrian regional program of the state broadcaster is broadcast. The central element of the program window is the mission of state today, which deals with news, issues and events from the respective state. From Monday to Friday the Tyrol issue of state is supplemented today with the mission of South Tyrol today. Various magazines are incorporated into the window regularly to the regional weather forecast. An example of this is Servus, Srečno, Ciao in ORF 2 Kärnten.

Technology

The most frequently used routes of transmission are satellite and cable networks. Even terrestrial distribution is common, but only digitally. The conversion to these digital DVB -T standard was completed in 2011. The digital satellite broadcast via DVB -S has already established itself successfully. In Cable TV DVB -C is only little use, as well as television over the Internet. Although all standards to be used practically, but not each transmitter in all modes. Since a fairly long period of time sends the ORF, as will various other channels, in high-definition quality. Many of the broadcast formats are, however, still only PAL and must be scaled up. Few programs are produced in native HD. Many private channels use platforms such as HD Austria to transfer your high definition program. Many productions of the public broadcasters are also bilingual.

Financing

Every Austrian citizen with an operational television or radio is, with few exceptions, required to pay license fees. The revenue goes to the charges Info Service mbH (abbreviated GIS) which are used primarily for the financing of public service television and radio programs.
