Thomas Schoorel

Thomas Schoorel ( born April 8, 1989 in Amsterdam) is a Dutch tennis player.

Career

Singles

2007 Schoorel played his first tennis match in qualifying for the ATP tournament in 's- Hertogenbosch. In the first round he beat his compatriot Wouter Standaart 6-3, 6-2, then losing to Antony Dupuis 6-7, 3-6. In July, he competed in the qualification for the tournament in Amersfoort, there was in round 1 against Ralph Grambow terminus. During the year Schoorel also played several Futures tournaments in Mexico he came in November to the semifinals, otherwise he retired relatively early.

In May, he played to qualify for the ATP tournament in Nice, where he failed in round 2 to Robby Ginepri. In June, he won two Futures tournaments in the Netherlands, in July, he reached his first Challenger final in Scheveningen, failed there but to Denis Gremelmayr with 5:7, 4:6. In Alphen he was also in the final, where they lost against Jesse Huta Galung in three sets. In double Schoorel has been able to win a Challenger Tournament along with Robin Haase. In Manerbio the duo struck in August 2010, Diego Junqueira and Gabriel Trujillo -Soler 6-4, 6-4. His only match on the ATP level Schoorel played with Huib Troost in Amersfoort in 2008, but there they lost in the second round Teimuraz Gabashvili and Denis Mazukewitsch 2:6, 4:6.
