Tinayguk River

Its headwaters of the west flank of Slatepile Mountain in the Endicott Mountains, a mountain range of the Brooks Range. It flows initially about 20 km westwards, followed by a sharp bend of the valley to the southeast and flows 40 km northwest of Wiseman in the North Fork of the Koyukuk River.

The river's name was proposed in 1930 by Robert Marshall and has its origin in the name of the original inhabitants of Elche.

The Tinayguk River in 1980 reported by the Alaska National Interest Lands Conservation Act as a National Wild and Scenic River under the administration of the National Park Service.
