Geographical Location

Overseas is in the Chiemgau, especially in Achen valley on the southern shore of Lake Chiemsee. Through overseas flows through the Überseer Bach, alike as the Tiroler Achen, which limits the area of ​​the municipality to the east, empties into Lake Chiemsee.

History

In the Notitia Arnonis the name appears for the first time overseas to around the year 790.
